Air Products, a self-proclaimed leader in hydrogen fueling technology, officially opened its latest fueling station in California – one that draws its feedstock from a sustainable source. Air Products’ station pump hydrogen– generated from municipal wastewater at Orange County Sanitation District’s (OCSD) water treatment facility – into fuel cell vehicles. In addition to hydrogen, this project creates electricity and heat from the renewable wastewater source. Air Products says this application of wastewater-to-hydrogen technology is a world’s first.

The Swiss-registered MS Türanor PlanetSolar is on a record-breaking 34,000 mile circumnavigation of the world, the first boat to do so using purely the power of the sun.

The boat’s 600 sq metres of photovoltaic cells store surplus energy during the day, enabling it to operate in the absence of sunlight for around three days at 7.5 knots, the speed of an average oil tanker. At slower speeds it could run for up to 15 days, according to its makers.

So I came up with this idea to start a volunteer organization devoted to cleaning up the world’s parks through various “project days.” On project days, volunteers will rally together to clean up a park. I’ve called it The Parks Project.
